Mr. Boomtruck is a company that specializes is all types of hoisting and material handling. We operate various sizes of boomtrucks, and offer friendly and personalized service from start to finish on every job. We are a family run business, which has been the cornerstone of our ongoing growth and success.
Darrell Kostenuk started Mr. Boomtruck in 1995 in Winnipeg. He started with a 23 Ton Terex Boom on a Kenworth Truck, which he ran as the owner operator for seven years. In the spring of 2003, a second slightly larger (30 Ton Terex) boomtruck was added to the fleet. At this time Darrell's son Carmen joined the company. Together they operated both boomtrucks for a span of roughly two years. Darrell's brother Ken joined the company in 2005, as the workload increased and the need for another, larger boomtruck was imminent. A 38 Ton Altec Boomtruck was added to the fleet at this time. A second 38 Ton Altec Boomtruck was once again added to the fleet in 2007.
For the last two years Mr. Boomtruck has been operating four boomtrucks. Doing a wide range of hoisting in Winnipeg and surrounding area. We work on commercial sites, residential construction, do private jobs as well. The company continues to grow, as a The company continues to grow, as a Spyder Crane was added in 2008. The Spyder Crane is geared towards smaller work and is great for squeezing into tight spots, and working indoors.
In 2009 we have added equipment that allows us to handle and transport equipment, and material to and from worksites. Our larger triple axle deck truck complete with a 20 ft deck and a knuckle boom enables us to transport material and equipment to and from a worksite. Our secure storage compound makes it easy and convenient to store all sorts of material and equipment until it is ready for use on a worksite. We also have a Zoom-Boom that can be used for all sorts of material handling on worksites. It has a work-platform attachment for jobs such as installing windows, facia, or siding.
Newest to the fleet currently, is a 75-ton Link-Belt Hydraulic Truck Crane. This will allow us to further serve our customers with a considerable greater capacity.
Mr. Boomtruck offers friendly, personalized services, as well as extreme dedication to safety. We ensure our equipment is inspected and maintained, and that our operators are certified and trained properly. We are currently in the process of becoming COR Certified.
